Review a local service page from a customer's perspective
An editorial check starts with the offer, location and a clear next step.

Choose one page and one purpose
Take an existing service page and describe its job in a sentence. Should it explain a particular service or prepare someone to make an enquiry? Then read it as though you did not know the business. Record questions that remain unanswered. This first pass assesses clarity; it does not replace a technical inspection of the website or establish how search systems treat it.
Make the service and area concrete
Check whether the actual service is explained. General statements about quality do not tell a reader what they can obtain. Describe the genuine service area where it matters to the offer. Do not add locations where the service is unavailable. Specific, confirmed information gives the editorial work a stronger foundation than a long list of place names.
Compare title and description
Read the page title, main heading and short description together. Do they describe the same service or make different promises? A concise title should make the page recognisable. The description can explain whom the offer serves and what happens next. A character-count check is only a formal signal; it does not assess the statement's quality or establish its actual appearance in search results.
Follow the enquiry route
Use the visible links to contact details, the process and any relevant packages. Are the labels clear, and do they lead to the expected information? Also inspect the page on a narrow screen. Record specific obstacles, such as an elusive contact link or an unexplained destination. A reproducible observation is easier to act on than a broad judgement.
Create a small action list
Turn the main gaps into individual tasks with owners. Begin with contradictory details and missing essential information. The local tool checks supplied titles, descriptions and URLs; it does not automatically fetch the website. Availability, indexing and actual search presentation need separate checks. This editorial review does not produce a ranking promise.
